At Next Level Speech Therapy, PC, we’re a W2 employer partnering primarily with brick-and-mortar public schools. We staff SLPs in in-person, hybrid, and teletherapy roles, always based on what schools truly need—and what works best for our therapists.
Because we work directly with Special Education Directors, most placements involve direct therapy, case management, evaluations, and full school-day availability to support meetings and collaboration. This is a bit different from 1099 roles, where providers often set strict boundaries around hours and caseload. Our model allows schools to build cohesive teams—and gives therapists consistent, supported roles.
Full-Time, Part-Time, and SLPA Supervision
Historically, most of our requests were for full-time positions, but we’re seeing more part-time opportunities as well. For part-time roles, we typically look for availability of at least two full school days per week, though occasional partial-day positions do come up at a school’s discretion.
We also receive requests for SLPA supervision, especially in states like WA, MN, AK, and TX.
For in-person and hybrid roles, we consider your driving radius, and in some cases, we’re able to offer commuting or relocation stipends.
Why We Don’t Hire Until There’s a Match
One thing that makes Next Level different: we only extend employment offers once a school contract is signed. This ensures transparency and prevents the stress of being “hired” without a clear placement. No guessing, no limbo.
Our Matching Process
We use a thoughtful, human-centered matching system:
Step 1: Apply & Meet and Greet
Submit your resume and join us for a casual meet and greet. This is your chance to learn more about Next Level and decide if we feel like a good fit. We’ll also learn your general preferences—desired hours, time zones, and states where you hold active licensure.
Step 2: Timing Matters
Sometimes we have an immediate opening; other times, we’re waiting for the right opportunity to come through. Staffing truly is about timing.
To stay connected, we recommend:
-
-
Following us on Facebook and Instagram
-
Watching job posts in the Telepractice for SLPs Facebook group
-
Staying on our job blast email lists, which are curated by licensure state and/or time zone
And of course, checking in by email or text is always welcome:

Step 3: Clinical Interview
When a role opens, the next step is a clinical interview with one of our clinical managers. This is a more formal conversation focused on your school-based skills and the specifics of the assignment—so you can decide if it truly feels right.
Providers who already hold active licensure in the hiring state are often prioritized, especially when licensure timelines are lengthy. For example, Washington State requires both Department of Health and Department of Education licensure for teletherapy, which can take up to three months. Once the school year is underway, many districts need someone right away, which is why cross-licensing early can really expand your opportunities.
Step 4: Offer & Onboarding
After interviews are complete and the district contract is signed, our clinical team makes their selection. If it’s a match—yay!—we’re excited to extend an offer and welcome you to Next Level.
